 PURPOSE/AIM
 
The learning objectives of this exhibit are to: 1) Provide an overview of the relevant chest anatomy and pathophysiology related to Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome 2) Illustrate the diverse spectrum of AIDS-related pulmonary manifestations according to a classification framework 3) Identify the characteristic radiographic features of each disorder
  
 CONTENT ORGANIZATION
 
1) Introduction 2) Review of relevant lung anatomy and pathophysiology related to AIDS 3) Radiographic findings in the lungs: a) Infection: Bacterial (including TB and septic emboli), Viral (including CMV), Fungal (including invasive aspergillosis), and PCP b) Neoplasm: Lymphoma, Kaposi's Sarcoma, Lung Carcinoma, c) Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy: Immune Reconstitution Syndrome 4) Disease manifestation in relation to CD4 count

The major teaching points of this exhibit are: 1) To provide a structured framework for approaching AIDS-related pulmonary disorders 2) To recognize the characteristic radiographic findings associated with each pulmonary manifestation
